Giants manager Gabe Kapler, first base coach Antoan Richardson and players Jaylin Davis, Austin Slater and Mike Yastrzemski made a statement in support of racial and social equality.
Shortstop Brandon Crawford showed his support by placing his hands on the shoulders of Davis and Richardson.
Pitcher Kevin Gausman, who started Monday's game, spoke to the media after he was removed, and said Kapler informed the team he would kneel during the anthem.
In June, Davis opened up about the racism he has faced during his professional baseball career.
On Monday, Davis' manager and teammates had his back, and the league's official Twitter account had the team's back as well.
