Bassitt, a first-time American League All-Star last season for Oakland, has helped anchor the A's rotation the past two seasons alongside fellow ace Sean Manaea, who is also likely to be traded this offseason.
In 2021, Bassitt posted a record of 12-4 with a 3.15 ERA in 157 1/3 innings pitched while striking out 157 batters and walking just 39.
He made 27 starts, missing time in the second half of the season after taking a comebacker to the face on Aug. 17 and undergoing facial surgery.
Ginn, a second-round pick by the Mets in 2020, is currently ranked as New York's fifth-best prospect, according to MLB.com. The 22-year-old split his debut professional season in 2021 between Low-A St. Lucie and High-A Brooklyn and logged a combined 3.03 ERA and 81 strikeouts in 92 innings (18 starts).
