Brock Holt won't be changing his name to Brock Bolt anytime soon.
The Texas Rangers utility man was forced to pitch in the eighth inning of the Athletics' blowout win Saturday, and his first few pitches to Josh Harrison and Matt Chapman barely broke the speed limit on city streets.
Holt's first two Eephus pitches to Harrison registered at 31.1 and 32.6 mph on the radar gun, according to Baseball Savant, and the A's utility man tapped the second pitch weakly back to the "pitcher," who threw to first to record the first out of the inning.

Holt's third pitch of the outing was his slowest, registering at 30.4 mph. Chapman laced the ball to left center for a hit, but was thrown out trying to stretch it into a double.
Holt sped things up to the third batter of the inning, throwing several fastballs to Tony Kemp, with the average speed ranging from 68.2 mph to 82.7 mph.
Rob Friedman, aka, Pitching Ninja, had a ton of fun with Holt's arsenal of pitches.
Possibly even funnier than Holt's pitches was his reaction after Kemp flied out to end the inning. He hilariously asked the home plate umpire if he needed to have his hat and glove checked for a foreign substance.
The umps cleared him and as Holt returned to the Rangers' dugout, he tipped his cap to the fans in attendance at the Coliseum.
After the A's 12-3 win, manager Bob Melvin provided a scouting report on Holt to NBC Sports California's Jess Kleinschmidt.
Holt pitched twice while teammates with Harrison in Washington last year, and it's a safe bet that it won't be the last time he takes the mound in a blowout.
