Kapler: Decision to option Littell based on ‘performance'

Pitcher Zack Littell was optioned back to Triple-A Sacramento a day after an incident with manager Gabe Kapler on the mound in the eighth inning of the Giants’ 3-2 win over the Atlanta Braves.
