From Puerto Rico with glove, Heliot Ramos made a big impression at the Giants' alternate site Saturday.
The 21-year-old outfield prospect dazzled fans in attendance at Sutter Health Park for the Giants' alternate site scrimmage with the A's alternate-site roster, robbing a surefire extra-base hit with a diving catch in the top of the sixth inning.

Ramos' catch built off an impressive spring, during which he won the Barney Nugent Award as the most impressive player in their first big league camp with the Giants. In 40 plate appearances during spring training, Ramos slashed .410/.425/.718 to go with three home runs and three doubles.
Giants manager Gabe Kapler said last month that Ramos making his MLB debut in 2021 is a "realistic goal," but the young outfielder only has 261 games of experience in the minor leagues. He only has 25 Double-A games under his belt, all of which were with the Richmond Flying Squirrels in 2019.

The Giants are off to a solid 5-3 start, so the chorus calling for a Ramos call-up probably won't be very loud for a little while. If the 21-year-old makes more plays like he did Saturday, he's going to become much harder to ignore.
