Wilmer Flores turned a Giants’ 2-1 deficit into a 3-2 lead over the Dodgers with one swing of the bat in the top of the ninth.

Tuesday night was a heartbreaking loss for the Giants. Wednesday night though, the ball bounced their way.

Down 2-1 in the top of the ninth, Buster Posey singled to lead off the inning. Wilmer Flores followed with a booming two-run home run to give the Giants a 3-2 lead against Kenley Jansen and the Dodgers.

Darin Ruf next hit a double, and after loading the bases with back-to-back walks, Jansen was pulled and departed the mound to a chorus of booing Dodger fans.

Victor Gonzalez replaced Jansen and walked Curt Casali with the bases loaded to force in another run, giving the Giants a 4-2 lead.

Except, ball four should have been called a strike. The Giants caught a huge break and extended their lead because of it.

The broadcast showed multiple Dodgers from Gonzalez to Max Muncy to manager Dave Roberts react in disbelief. Roberts, though, let the umpire hear it and was ejected as a result.
