Draymond Green was amped up for Game 2 of the NBA Finals and his heightened aggressiveness was a familiar role he’s played for the Warriors over the years.
Like father, like son.
Following the Warriors’ Game 2 win on Sunday, Draymond Green’s son, Draymond Jr., inadvertently channeled his dad’s epically unforgettable interview after the Warriors won the 2015 NBA Finals.
Green’s brilliant performance heavily impacted the result of Game 2 of the 2022 NBA Finals, and Draymond Jr.’s analysis of his dad’s efforts sounded awfully familiar.

Reporter: How’d dad play?
Draymond Jr.: Good.
Reporter: You got a career on your hands, just like pops.
Draymond: You tired?
Draymond Jr.: No.
Reporter: Is DJ making the trip to Boston?
Draymond Jr.: Yes.
Reporter: That’s pretty cool. We’re going to see you running around the floor.
Draymond Jr.: Yup.
DJ could have just been sleepy and not in the mood to have a full-on conversation, or perhaps he peeped a video of his dad’s memorable interview and used the opportunity to duplicate what he saw.
Regardless, the similarities between the two interviews are pretty humorous.

Of course, it's a reference to Green's iconic interview when the Warriors won their first title in 40 years in 2015. Green trolled the Cleveland Cavaliers with "yup", "nope" responses during the interview.
Now, seven years later, Green and the Warriors are in a similar situation as they are three wins away from their fourth ring in eight years.
If they get there, we might get another epic interview from Green, and even DJ.
