Report: NBA ‘nearing plans' for Warriors to host 2025 All-Star weekend

NBC Universal, Inc. Warriors Insider Monte Poole and Dalton Johnson discuss Klay Thompson’s recent struggles and what this season could look like.

Chase Center could host some of the greatest NBA players in 2025.

The Athletic's Shams Charania reported Thursday, citing sources, that the NBA is "nearing plans" for the Warriors to host All-Star Weekend in 2025 at Chase Center.

The Bay last hosted All-Star Weekend in 2000 when the Warriors played at Oracle Arena in Oakland.

Chase Center has been home to the Warriors since 2019, and this would be the arena's first All-Star Game.

It also would be the first All-Star Weekend in California since the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers hosted in 2018 (h/t CBS Sports' Sam Quinn).

While it's too early to speculate who might be an All-Star in two seasons, it's hard to imagine that Warriors superstar and four-time champion Steph Curry won't show face at the annual meeting in some shape or form.
