Report: Durant, Warriors exec Jerry West spoke on phone

As the Kevin Durant sweepstakes wind down, a new tidbit emerged Sunday afternoon.

Warriors Executive Board Member Jerry West spoke with Durant on the phone Saturday, according to San Jose Mercury News' Tim Kawakami.

West was not part of the Warriors' contingent to meet with Durant in the Hamptons on Friday.

CEO joe Lacob, GM Bob Myers, head coach Steve Kerr and players Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala were on hand for the face-to-face meeting with Durant Friday morning, a source confirmed to CSNBayArea.com.

Kawakami is also reporting that while Durant likes the Warriors, he's unsure if he can or should leave Oklahoma City, the only organization he's ever played for.

Durant is reportedly expected to make his decision on which team to sign with Sunday night or Monday morning.

The former MVP met with the Thunder, Warriors, Spurs, Celtics, Clippers and Heat this weekend. The LA Times reported Saturday night that Durant had informed the Clippers they were no longer in the running for his services.
