Kelly Oubre Jr.'s Warriors tenure is over, as he's headed back to the East Coast.
The Athletic's Shams Charania reported Thursday night, citing sources, that Oubre and the Charlotte Hornets have agreed to a two-year, $26 million-plus contract.

NBC Sports Bay Area's Monte Poole confirmed through a league source that Oubre and Hornets have agreed to a two-year contract.
Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes reported moments before Charania, citing league sources, that Oubre and the Hornets were finalizing a multiyear contract, and that the annual average value would exceed $12 million.
The Athletic's David Aldridge was the first to report that Oubre and the Hornets were discussing a deal.
As NBC Sports Bay Area's Drew Shiller points out, the Warriors might not be able to work out a sign-and-trade with the Hornets due to the length of the agreement with Oubre.
Oubre's free-agent market didn't quite developed like he'd hoped, and it appears the 25-year-old swingman won't find the payday he was seeking. He reportedly wanted around $20 million per season.
The New York Daily News' Kristian Winfield reported Wednesday, citing sources, that the free-agent market for Oubre had "cooled significantly" because he initially asked for too much money.

Winfield mentioned the Hornets as a possible landing spot for Oubre, noting they have roughly $14.5 million in salary-cap space. Based on Haynes' report, it appears Charlotte will use a considerable chunk of its cap space to sign Oubre.
Oubre reportedly drew interest from other teams, including the New York Knicks, San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat, but all those teams have made moves to fill cap space. Haynes reported earlier Thursday that the Portland Trail Blazers were looking into possibly adding Oubre.
Oubre had an up-and-down 2020-21 NBA season with the Warriors, averaging 15.4 points and 6.0 rebounds in 30.7 minutes in 55 games. Late in the year, Oubre was moved to a bench role, and his season was cut short by a torn wrist ligament and fracture in his palm.
An Oubre-Warriors reunion always seemed highly unlikely because of what the team could offer, as well as Klay Thompson's impending return in December. Golden State also has added wings Otto Porter Jr., Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody to the roster this offseason.

Oubre was the No. 15 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, and spent the first three-plus seasons of his NBA career with the Washington Wizards before being traded to the Phoenix Suns in December 2018.
The Warriors acquired Oubre from the Oklahoma City Thunder in the wake of Thompson's season-ending torn Achilles suffered on last Nov. 18.
