Splash Brothers own nearly all major NBA 3-point records

Steph Curry spoke to reporters after breaking the NBA all-time 3-point record. Curry accomplished the feat in 789 games, 511 fewer games than it took Ray Allen.

Steph Curry and Klay Thompson are one of, if not the greatest shooting backcourt in NBA history.

The Splash Brothers are two of the game's prolific shooters from distance, and now own nearly every major 3-point shooting record after Curry broke Ray Allen's all-time 3-point record Tuesday at Madison Square Garden.

And that's exactly where we'll start.

Most 3-pointers NBA history: Steph Curry - 2,977

Most 3-pointers in a season: Steph Curry - 402 (2015-16)

Most 3-pointers in a game: Klay Thompson - 14 (Oct. 29, 2018)

Most 3-pointers in playoff history: Steph Curry (470)

The only major 3-point records that neither of the two Splash Brothers own is the record for most 3-pointers by a rookie, most 3-pointers in a playoff game, and most 3-pointers in a six- or seven-game playoff series.

The rookie record belongs to Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell who made 187 3-pointers in his 2017-18 rookie season. The single-game playoff record belongs to Damian Lillard, who hit 12 in a game in June, breaking Thompson's record of 11 he set in 2016 in Game 6 against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The record for a six-game series belongs to Lillard (35, 2021), and seven-game series belongs to Mitchell (33, 2020).

Other than that, Curry and Thompson have a monopoly on almost all NBA 3-point records.

With Thompson's return right around the corner, the Splash Brothers will be reunited and the Warriors will become even more dangerous from beyond the arc.
