Steph amused by critiques from Twitter users during slump

Steph Curry is the greatest shooter in history, so when he went through the month of January in a shooting slump, particularly for his standards, there was obvious outside concern. No one had really seen the GOAT shooter mired through a prolonged funk.

Die-hard fans of Curry, as well as his naysayers, had plenty to tweet about in regards to fixing the two-time MVP's shot, or even doubting whether or not he will ever recover.

So did Curry ever think to go on Twitter to peruse some of the hot takes?

"Not only have I thought about it, I have actually entertained myself with some of those opinions," Curry said on the latest episode of the Dubs Talk podcast. "Everyone obviously wants me to shoot more, that is kind of the common consensus. Then you go, I got to get to the midrange more. Oh, why can't I finish at the rim? I'm losing athleticism and my lift."

The takes go on and on.

"Or if I have one of those games where I only had like 10 shots by the third quarter, then it's like 'what the frick is going on!!?'," Curry exuberantly imitated.

When reminded about the opinion that his shot is off because he has been lifting too many weights and strengthening his body, Curry had a good laugh.

"Oh that is a good one too! That was a good one," Curry proclaimed while chuckling. "I need to get out of the weight room, I am too swole. It is like a backhanded compliment. I don't even know how to take that. It's like 'uh thank you'? I don't know how to approach that one."

"I'm working on my body, making sure I can withstand the physicality. At this stage of my career, that is a big piece to me being efficient. But, no, it has nothing to do with my shooting."

And finally for the real Twitter trolls out there, Curry had a simple response to those that think he is over the hill and declining.

"I came on this podcast especially to let the record show that yes, we are still on the hill," Curry announced while laughing.

Rest assured Dub Nation, rest assured.
