Warriors star Steph Curry’s streak of streak of 11 straight games with at least 30 points came to an end Wednesday and after the game Curry looked back at the “special ride.”
Every fire is bound to flame out at some point. Steph Curry's did Wednesday in the Warriors' crushing 118-114 loss to the Washington Wizards.
An ice-cold Curry scored just 18 points in the loss. He shot 7-of-25 from the field and 2-of-14 from beyond the arc. Curry also was a Warriors-low minus-23 in plus-minus.
His low scoring night snapped a streak of 11 straight games with at least 30 points.

"It was a great run," Curry said to reporters after the loss. "It was something that hadn't been done before. It was going to end at some point. Now you got to start another one. So it's just a matter of the next-play mentality. Just try to get rejuvenated when we go home -- to do it home, road, some big games, put a streak together.
"It was a special ride, for sure. And never really get too hyped up on individual streaks or accolades like that. There were some historical names that I was able to pass. And doing something at this age was pretty special."
Along the way, Curry passed historic names like Wilt Chamberlain, Kobe Bryant and Chris Mullin in the record books. He passed Kobe for the most consecutive games with at least 30 points for a player 33 years old or older.
Don't expect Curry to go cold for long.

Curry has scored under 20 points just seven times this season. He has followed those up with games of 36, 38, 20, 27, 35 and 32 points.
Even after his lowly night, Curry still is leading the league in total points (1,588) and points per game (31.1).
Here's your daily reminder that's a whole point per game more than when Curry was named unanimous NBA MVP for the 2015-16 season.
