Steph Curry gave an update on his foot sprain and added that he doesn’t believe that Marcus Smart meant to hurt him. “It’s just basketball…I don’t think he was trying to hurt me.”
Steph Curry does not believe that Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart intended to hurt him.
In a scramble for the ball during Golden State's loss to the Celtics on Wednesday, Smart fell on top of Curry's foot and Steph immediately left the game with an injury that will now sideline him at least two weeks.
Curry spoke to reporters prior to Sunday's game against the San Antonio Spurs at Chase Center, where he acknowledged that he doesn't believe Smart had any ill-intent.

"He didn't try to hurt me," Curry told reporters. "There's a certain way that he plays that I don't think many people would have made the play that he did, but I don't think it was malicious or dirty or trying to hurt me. It was kind of just a tough situation. Like I said, the way that he plays, there's a conversation just around should he or shouldn't he have?
"It wasn't like he looked at me and was like I'm trying to hurt that dude. It's basketball."
