Why Stephen A Smith sees Lakers as Kevin Durant's No. 1 landing spot

Kevin Durant dropped some crying laughing emojis on Stephen A. Smith earlier this week, but maybe he did it on the wrong social media post featuring the ESPN talking head.

KD’s tiff with Draymond Green has many in the media wondering if the Warriors star will leave next offseason because of it, and Stephen A joined that fray Friday.

The “First Take” host listed his top five landing spots for Durant, and – surprise! -- the No. 1 spot went to a team other than the Warriors.

It should be noted Smith isn’t reporting anything here. It’s merely his opinion, as he sees the Lakers’ available salary-cap space and LeBron James’ ability to absorb the spotlight as two reasons why KD would go to L.A. Oh, and Durant also has a house there. Hey, he has a house in the Bay Area, too. Guess he’s staying!

The truth is, no one knows where KD will end up next year, but his dust-up with Draymond accelerated talk that his Golden State days are numbered.

Even if they really are not. Only Durant truly knows.
