The Warriors' starting lineup of Steph Curry, Kelly Oubre, Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green and James Wiseman certainly needs to play better and be more consistent.
But despite what you might have seen on Twitter, that unit was not responsible for Golden State's loss Thursday night to the Denver Nuggets.

The Warriors trailed 22-21 with just under four minutes left in the first quarter, yet trailed 37-24 heading into the second quarter.

So what happened? Here is an example:
Despite the early hole -- and a terrible performance defensively in the first half -- the Warriors fought back in the third quarter.
And Golden State very much was in a position to eke out a victory.
But things went south quickly from there, as the Nuggets went on an 11-2 run to take a 90-76 lead into the final frame.
And the Warriors just couldn't get over the hump.
Again, the starting lineup is not yet firing on all cylinders, and the Warriors won't be able to reach their full potential if it doesn't thrive.
But Warriors fans need to remain patient.

"We've had some good days (and) some bad days," Curry said after the loss. "Twelve games in, we gotta understand what we can do better, especially offensively -- just getting a little bit more flow.
"And then living up to that expectation of what we're supposed to do defensively -- and that's consistent energy. Night to night, it's hard with a new group and you're playing really talented teams. You have to be locked in.
"So starting unit -- just be real with ourselves and not get in our feelings when we don't play well."
