Will Ferrell wows crowd with logo shot ahead of Dubs-Clippers

Steph Curry and Klay Thompson usually steal the show during pregame warmups, but all eyes at Chase Center were on Jackie Moon on Tuesday night.

Actor Will Ferrell made a surprise appearance ahead of the Warriors-Los Angeles Clippers matchup dressed as one of Klay’s favorite sports characters of all time, Jackie Moon, from the movie Semi-Pro.

Klay was in awe when he saw Jackie Moon on the floor with him. But it was still business as usual.

The three Splash Bros put up some shots and got loose on the court. Klay even sank a couple of shots over his fictional basketball idol.

But it was one specific shot that earned Jackie Moon the third Splash Brothers spot. From half-court, he nailed a logo shot that got fans in attendance hyped before the game even started.

The Klay-Jackie Moon stories will never get old.

When he made NBA history in 2018 for the most 3-pointers (14) in a game vs. the Chicago Bulls, Klay said the headband he wore was inspired by Jackie Moon and his love for the movie Semi-Pro.

"I looked like Jackie Moon out there, so I was feeling good," Thompson told reporters that night. "He's one of my favorite characters in all of sports movies, so that's probably why I broke the record."

Two days later, Klay was rocking a full-on Jackie Moon uniform from head(band) to toe.

And while working on making his Warriors return, Klay made it clear that he was going "full Jackie Moon" this season.
