Giants outfielder Pat Burrell will go to North Carolina to get a second opinion on his injured foot, manager Bruce Bochy announced before Tuesday's game against the Pirates.
Burrell, out since June 30 with a bone spur in his right foot, is hitting .233 with seven home runs this season.
