Second-year forward Jordan Bell was suspended for the game for conduct detrimental to the team. The Warriors have not disclosed the details about what caused the suspension, but NBC Sports Bay Area's Monte Poole notes that the team is running out of patience.

Memphis is in the middle of a rebuild, having traded franchise cornerstone Marc Gasol to the Raptors before the trade deadline in February. Star point guard Mike Conley is questionable with left thigh soreness, so the squad the Warriors face figures to be quite young. Grizzlies center Jonas Valanciunas is on fire as of late, averaging 23.5 points per game in his last three contests.
