Antonio Brown or Odell Beckham Jr.: Which star would 49ers fans prefer?

Four days after the NFL regular season ended, the league's offseason trade chatter already is hot and heavy.

And the San Francisco 49ers are front and center in some spicy rumors.

The 49ers, coming off a disappointing 4-12 season, have been linked to two star wide receivers: Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Odell Beckham Jr. of the New York Giants.

Brown, who reportedly has wanted out of Pittsburgh, recently followed the 49ers on social media and caught the eye of tight end George Kittle.

Meanwhile, Beckham is under contract with the Giants, but “there’s already buzz” that the 49ers would be willing to trade for him if he became available.

Both receivers’ teams have tried to cool the waters on how available their star wideouts really are, but that doesn’t stop the rumor mill from churning.

So naturally, we asked 49ers fans to vote: who would you prefer to see don the red and gold in 2019?

In this hypothetical scenario, 55 percent of fans prefer Brown over Beckham.

Let’s see how their résumés compare ...

Antonio Brown

Age: 30
Height/Weight: 5-foot-10, 181 pounds
Experience: 9 years
Contract: 3 years, $36.4 million
2018 numbers: 104 receptions, 1,297 yards, 15 touchdowns
Career-best season: 2015 -- 136 receptions, 1,834 yards, 10 touchdowns
Health: Good -- has missed only seven games in the last eight seasons
Best known for: Exquisite route-running

Odell Beckham Jr.

Age: 26
Height/Weight: 5-11, 200 pounds
Experience: 5 years
Contract: 5 years, $74 million
2018 numbers: 77 receptions, 1,052 yards, six touchdowns
Career-best season: 2015 -- 96 receptions, 1,450 yards, 13 touchdowns.
Health: Iffy -- missed 12 games with a broken ankle in 2017 and four games with a quad injury in 2018
Best known for: Remarkable one-handed catches

Brown has more accolades and a better track record of staying healthy. Beckham, on the other hand, is younger and under contract for longer.

49ers fans surely would love to have either player, but if there’s a preference, a slight majority of fans prefer Brown’s consistency over Beckham’s potential.
