When the Raiders first were laying out plans for the organization’s Death Star-esque new stadium in Las Vegas, they likely were seeking an intimidation factor by designing an exterior almost entirely painted black.

What they likely weren’t hoping it would look like is the world’s largest robot vacuum.

From that bird’s-eye view, it’s hard to disagree with the comparison.

But given the team’s new market, you can't blame the Raiders for trying to make a statement while beginning a new era in Sin City.

Allegiant Stadium already is moving forward with grass installation despite the coronavirus threat, and the NFL’s schedule release has made getting a seat in Las Vegas for Year 1 an expensive proposition.
