Chances are, the 49ers won't forget about Super Bowl LIV for quite some time. After all, San Francisco held a double-digit lead over the Kansas City Chiefs halfway through the fourth quarter before ending up on the wrong side of a historic comeback.

The fact that it's the Chiefs who designed those rings and not the 49ers will always be a sore spot for San Francisco, but the way in which Kansas City did so ultimately rubs in just how close the 49ers were to winning their sixth Lombardi Trophy.
That loss has driven the 49ers throughout the offseason and through training camp, and they're certainly one of the favorites to return to the Super Bowl. The same can be said for the Chiefs, and the design of their rings would make a Super Bowl rematch victory even sweeter for San Francisco.
