The Houston Texans' loss clearly was the Arizona Cardinals' gain.
When the Cardinals acquired star receiver DeAndre Hopkins in a trade with the Texans during the offseason, it was widely considered to be extremely one-sided in Arizona's favor. The teams' respective performances in Week 1 of the 2020 NFL season only served to support that perspective.
The Texans were thoroughly beaten by the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL season opener on Thursday, and while Hopkins wouldn't have helped Houston from giving up 34 points, his presence on offense clearly was missed. After that game, Hopkins rubbed it in by tweeting his appreciation for his new surroundings.

And after the Cardinals upset the 49ers 24-20 at Levi's Stadium on Sunday, you can be sure that gratitude is a two-way street, as Hopkins proved to be a problem that San Francisco couldn't solve. He totaled 151 yards on 14 receptions -- tied for the second-most the 49ers have allowed to a player since 1950 -- and set up the game-winning touchdown.
Following the win, Hopkins strutted his stuff on Twitter in what could be interpreted as a cryptic reminder of what the Texans are missing.
