49ers-Seahawks injury report: Greenlaw likely available

SANTA CLARA — The 49ers appear to be their healthiest at just the right time with the arrival of the NFL playoffs this weekend.

On Wednesday, most of the players who were limited for Tuesday’s practice were active again during early individual work in the open portion of practice.

Linebacker Dre Greenlaw, who missed the 49ers' regular-season finale due to a back injury, looks like he will be available to play in Saturday’s NFC wild-card game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Just as Fred Warner, who had been watching his fellow linebacker stretch, commented on how good Greenlaw looked, the Arkansas product slipped, provoking this reaction from the All-Pro:

The most notable improvement since the 49ers' last matchup with the Seahawks has been made by Brock Purdy. In their Week 15 Thursday night matchup, the rookie quarterback was only a few days removed from sustaining a rib and oblique injury in Week 14 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“I feel really good going into this game,” Purdy said on Wednesday. “We had a quick turnaround last time, played on Sunday and had to be ready to roll for Thursday night and obviously I had the whole rib thing going on. I feel a lot better and I’m excited about that. I was definitely hurting that game.”

Elijah Mitchell also is ready for the beginning of the postseason after getting through the 49ers' Week 18 win over the Arizona Cardinals healthy. After missing all but five regular season games with multiple MCL injuries, the second-year pro will help keep Christian McCaffrey’s legs fresh by sharing the load.
