- The 49ers improve to 4-4 with a 30-24 win over the Cowboys, who fall to 3-4.
- George Kittle had a monster game on National Tight End's Day, finishing with six receptions for 128 yards and one touchdown.
- Isaac Guerendo had to carry a heavier load when Jordan Mason left the game with a shoulder injury, and the rookie running back stepped up in a big way. Guerendo ran for 85 yards on 14 carries and scored one touchdown. He had a chance at a second touchdown late in the fourth quarter but slid down so the 49ers could run out the clock.
- Deebo Samuel overcame a case of pneumonia and played a big role in the win, catching four passes for 71 yards. Late in the game, the veteran wide receiver sustained a ribs injury and didn't return to the contest.
- Rookie Ricky Pearsall had the best game of his young NFL career, catching four passes for 38 yards, while also taking a jet sweep for 39 yards.
- Quarterback Brock Purdy bounced back after a poor performance against the Kansas City Chiefs. Facing the Cowboys, Purdy completed 18-of-26 passes for 260 yards and one touchdown. He didn't throw any interceptions. The third-year pro also used his legs, scrambling eight times for 56 yards. His QB sneak late in the third quarter gave the 49ers a 27-10 lead.
