Jerry Rice Jr. isn't going to let people discredit his dad's legacy.
The former UCLA and UNLV wide receiver took to Twitter to defend 49ers icon Jerry Rice after Hall of Famer Randy Moss claimed he was the greatest to ever play the position.
"So you agree Randy number 1," Rice Jr. wrote in response to user Colton Waite. "Think my dad didn’t have impact? Randy went deep. My dad caught 5 yards and took it to the house. Super Bowl put up 21 points himself in 1 of 4 he participated. Scored 48 yard touchdown with raiders at 40 years old. I can keep going but it’s too much."

During a recent episode of the "T.O. and Hatch" podcast, Moss said he was the GOAT wide receiver and actually said Rice wasn't even No. 2 on the list.
“I’ll put myself first, I’ll put [Terrell Owens] second," Moss said. "I think Jerry [Rice] is probably third or fourth. I’m talking about dominating the game and changing the game of football. I don’t live on statistics because if you live on statistics and live on championships, that’s all political. You’ve seen guys released or cut from a team just by a couple words in the media. You’ve seen guys not given contracts just because of the color of their skin. You’ve got to throw politics out of the game of football, and look at the impact of what each individual was able to make in the game of football.”
Owens, who Moss was speaking with, seemed to acknowledge Rice's record-setting NFL stats in a quote-tweet.
It was Owens' tweet that led to Rice Jr.'s response.

The younger Rice didn't have to defend his dad's place in history, but he did it perfectly. Anybody that has watched the NFL over the last four decades knows that Rice is the best receiver to ever play the game. He's even in the conversation for best overall player in NFL history. Moss and Owens were great players, but they aren't in that conversation.
