For a moment, it appeared the Raiders would blow the hard-earned three-point lead. On the play before the fateful kick attempt, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger hit James Washington on a 5-yard pass, and the wide receiver lateraled the ball to JuJu Smith-Schuster, who ran 43 yards down the sideline to set up the field-goal attempt.
That's when the turf monster saved the day for the Raiders.
So, how did the Raiders take the lead? On Derek Carrier's first touchdown reception since 2015 and just the second of his career.
