Kevin Weekes reported that Warsofsky would interview for the position on Tuesday. Previously, SJHN reported that Warsofsky had interviewed for the Sharks’ head coaching position.
Warsofsky, 34, just guided the Chicago Wolves to a Calder Cup, becoming the youngest head coach since Peter Laviolette in 1999 to bring home the AHL’s ultimate prize. The North Marshfield, Massachusetts native enjoyed a 71-25-6-7 record with the Wolves over the last two regular seasons.
